Camp Randall Stadium Tickets
By P.N.
Camp Randall Stadium his home to the Wisconsin Badgers football team. With a capacity of just over 80,000, it’s the largest stadium in Wisconsin. It all started in 1913, when the university built wooden bleachers on the current site. The concrete stands of Camp Randall Stadium were installed four years later, making it much safer for fans to gather. Camp Randall tickets were just two bucks at that time.
- By the mid 1950’s Camp Randall stadium was large enough to hold 50,000 fans with ease.
- For years, the venue was shared with the track and field athletes.
- In the early 1960’s the university added a second deck of seating, and a state of the art press facility.
Things stayed pretty much the same for nearly 30 years. The only changes were to the field itself. As Wisconsin was one of the first division 1A teams to install artificial turf, it was only fitting that they also keep up on the latest technology when it comes to playing surfaces. The Badgers now play on a product called “Field Turf.”
